Whether you access the Global Deafblindness Resource Hub through sight, touch or speech, we want it to work as best as possible for you.
Our commitment
We are committed to complying with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)2.2.
Our website should be compatible with modern screen readers and speech recognition software. It should respond appropriately to magnifiers, high contrast themes and speech tools that are built into modern operating systems.
AbilityNet offers guidance on how to make websites suit you and your needs.
NV Access offers a free screen reader software to download.
We endeavour to test our site using a wide range of technologies, but we can’t commit to testing every browser version with every version of assistive technology, nor testing on every operating system version or mobile handset type.
Making your browser accessible
There are added accessibility features available for various browsers and these are as follows:
Third party websites
In some places on our website, we signpost to third party websites and applications that provide useful information and advice to our users. We cannot guarantee that that these third-party websites and applications are fully accessible and comply with the WCAG 2.2. Where possible we strive to work with these third parties to make the changes needed to conform to the WCAG 2.2 and improve their accessibility.
How are we doing?
We make every effort for all content on our website to be accessible but it’s possible that some areas of our website still need improvement in this area. We are actively working to improve our accessibility and user experience and continuously taking feedback from users to help us improve this. If you have problems accessing our website, please email [email protected] .
